We found this Western Yellow-bellied Sand Snake basking in an acacia outside our front door, they are extremely quick and are considered to be one of the fastest snakes in Southern Africa. They are active during the day and the venom is very mild. They generally move off rapidly so it was great to have the opportunity to snap some pics.
